Securing your API account with source IP locking

For users of our general API end-point at https://www.commzgate.net, you can add an extra layer of security to your API account by allowing only a list of authorised IP addresses to send requests via your API account. We call this feature 'IP Locking'.

To activate 'IP Locking', login to your CommzGate account, navigate to the API tab and look for the 'IP Locking' link in the blue sub-menu.

Next, simply enter the IP address that you wish to authorise for using your API ID. You can enter multiple IP addresses if you wish.  Once you have activated this feature, any access from an IP address not authorised by you will be rejected with an 01012 error code.
