The recently announced Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities impacts a large number of computing systems. (More details at https://spectreattack.com)
We will like to update you about the impact of these vulnerabilities on CommzGate products as follows:
CloudSMS Portal and API (https://portal.commzgate.com)
Since late 2017, we have been operating CommzGate CloudSMS Portal and API (including all related hosted services) off a major Cloud Computing platform provider, who have announced that their platform has already been patched to protect against the reported vulnerabilities. Our CloudSMS Portal and API service is hence not impacted.
CG-ONE Appliance
CG-ONE contains a ARM-based CPU that does NOT perform speculative execution. This product is hence not impacted.
CG-RACK Appliance
CG-RACK contains a ARM-based CPU that does NOT perform speculative execution. This product is hence not impacted.
3G modems that work with CG-ONE and CG-RACK also do not contain CPUs impacted by the vulnerabilities, hence there is no impact here.
