SGNIC reminds users of the importance of taking all reasonable measures to ensure that their registered Sender IDs (SIDs) are not misused for scams, objectionable activities, or any illegal purposes. In line with this, SGNIC expects all Singapore SenderID Registry (SSIR) users to prioritize the security of their accounts with CommzGate.
To enhance account security, SGNIC strongly recommends adopting the following measures:
- Regular Updates: Frequently update account credentials
- API Key Decommissioning: Remove your decommissioned or unused CommzGate API keys from your systems promptly.
- 2FA Implementation: Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) web portal for CommzGate Web Portal account access. (if not already done)
- IP Whitelisting: Use CommzGate IP whitelisting feature to restrict unauthorized access.
- Activity Monitoring: Use CommzGate SMS sending volume alerts feature to monitor unusual volume spikes.
Proactively implementing these measures will significantly reduce risks to your account and protect both your organization and your customers.
Failure to secure your accounts may result in a breach of Clause 2.3.2 of the User Agreement with SGNIC. Such a breach could lead to termination of the User Agreement under Clause 8.1.4. To take action now to enhance your account and SMS SenderID security and contribute to a safer digital ecosystem.
