Compulsory use of SMS SenderID for 1-way messages

To be in line with IMDA regulatory recommendations, please be informed that effective 15 April 2023, customers with no SMS SenderID registered will have SMS messages set to a default SenderID "Commz-Demo" (instead of CommzGate shared number, 73333) for Singapore mobile numbers

This is to greatly reduce the chance of phishing attempts happening through the use of a shared number by a large number of different sending organisations.

To avoid your mobile recipients receiving SMS messages with the default SenderID "Commz-Demo", we recommend purchasing your own unique SMS SenderID with us by contacting us at cgsales@commzgate.com. (You will also need to concurrently register this SenderID with SGNIC at https://sgnic.sg/smsregistry/overview). If you require 2-way SMS functionality, you can purchase a dedicated long-code number or short-code number.

If you already have a SMS SenderID registered with CommzGate and whitelisted with SGNIC, you may ignore this message.

The CommzGate team is on-hand to assist you with this transition. You can call us at 65-64328416, WhatsApp us or email us at cgsales@commzgate.com

Regards

CommzGate Team
