To rename a Modem ID, you would need to take these steps.
1. Remove all occurrence of this Modem ID from the system's Messaging Rules as follows:
i. Go to 'Message Priorities > API MQ Rules'
ii. Remove the rule containing the Modem ID from the Routing Rules and save changes.
iii. Go to 'Message Priorities > Portal MQ Rules'
iv. Remove the rule containing the Modem ID from the Routing Rules and save changes.
v. Go to 'Message Priorities > Scheduled MQ Rules'
vi. Remove the rule containing the modem ID from the Routing Rules and save changes.
2. Rename Modem ID to a new value
i. Go to 'Configure > System and Modems'
ii. Update the Modem ID to the new desired value
3. Add new modem ID to the system Messaging Rules
i. Go to 'Message Priorities > API MQ Rules'
ii. Add the new Modem ID to Routing Rules and save changes.
iii. Go to 'Message Priorities > Main MQ Rules'
iv.Add the new Modem ID to the Routing Rules and save changes.
v. Go to 'Message Priorities > Scheduled MQ Rules'
vi. Add the new Modem ID to the Routing Rules and save changes.
Restart the Worker Process under 'Configure > System and Modems' for the new configuration to take effect.
